Spiritual Gifts

Have you ever wondered what God is calling you to do and be? have you ever wondered if there is a deeper purpose for your life? Have you ever yearned for some time just to pause, pay attention and gain a clearer sense of direction?

On four consecutive Wednesday evenings, early in 2010, the Spiritual Gifts Team offered their first workshop to explore with participants:

• What are the gifts God gives and why?
• What are the specific gifts God has given to me?
• Where can I use those gifts?

An appreciative group of 8-10 participants welcomed this opportunity to engage with fresh material about Spirit-given gifts, and to consider their next steps in sharing their gifts in the church and world. The Spiritual Gifts Team of Crossroads United Church was encouraged by this first workshop, and will offer a slightly different workshop opportunity in September 2010. On Sunday, September 19, following worship (and while enjoying a light lunch provided by the Spiritual Gifts team members) the first step will be taken to explore what God-given gifts are, for what purpose they are given, and to point you in the direction of discovering your own gifts.
