New Member Preparation

Adults and youth who are curious about the Christian faith, and may be considering what it might mean to formally become a member of Crossroads United Church, are invited to attend the "Faith Foundations" course with Rev. Cari and Eileen Noullett. Offered several times each year, this 4-week course is a first look at Christian theology and spiritual practices through the lens of the United Church, and Crossroads in particular. Questions such as "how do we know God?" and "Who is Jesus, anyway?" and "What is the purpose of the Church?" are explored, along with six marks of discipleship: Bible reading, spiritual friendship, worship, prayer, serving and giving.

This course is also a prerequisite to having a child baptized or reaffirming one's baptismal faith (also known as "being confirmed") at Crossroads United Church.

Please contact Rev. Cari (or sign up on the sheet in the foyer) if you would like to participate in the next series, which will run for the four Sundays of March 2012 from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Meeting Room at Crossroads.
